Longleat Icons of the Sky - Hot Air Balloons
There will be 7 mass ascents, weather permitting, over the course of the event, beginning with Thursday evening for annual passholders only, and then for all from Friday morning to Sunday evening of over 75 rainbow coloured hot air balloons, plus everyone's favourite rare and exciting special shapes!
In the UK, balloons can only fly early in the morning and in the evening when the weather and wind conditions are at their best and most stable with no thermal activity from the sun. Why not brave the 7.30am start and join us for breakfast and balloons!? Due to the nature of ballooning there is a degree of flexibility with the timings so please be patient, it will be worth the wait, our pilot's really do want to fly! Should the weather not be in our favour for a free flight, we will try our best to put on a tethered or burner display. As always our commentary team will keep you up to date.
